There are all kinds of resources available to families including various types of support groups, churches, lawyers, therapists and much more. Depending on the situation, many different types of people play a role. It is really important that everyone have the support that they need.
Children especially need someone to talk to, many times someone outside of their parents or siblings. Some of the things they might want to talk about with a professional or member of the community vs their parents.
